Thousands of Reasons!
Together, in 2024, we estimate that we will help over 2600 people gain the potential to improve their lives through our programs in education, job training, housing, nutrition, health care, social and spiritual nurture. Collectively, since we first started working in Costa Rica in 2004, we have served more than 30,000 thousand people. So we have thousands of reasons to celebrate, and thousands more to keep serving.
The Privilege of Making History
We are so thankful for the partnership and faithfulness of our donors. Despite the extraordinary circumstances of the last several years, you have continued to give selflessly . . . and are a true example of Philippians 2:3-4, “Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.”
We can say “thanks” . . . but the real thanks is from the many children and families you’ve impacted. You’ve made it possible to alter the course of history for thousands of lives:

I don’t know how to begin to thank you. Many times I think of how fortunate I am to have this great privilege. Without your support, I would not be fulfilling my dream of studying at a university. I know God has a great purpose for me and my family. Thanks for that day that you put your eyes on a little 9-year old girl, whom you did not even know, and said, “I believe she can do it.” Thank you for loving me ever since that day. I feel so blessed. I feel like a diamond someone plucked out of the ground and polished. Because living here (in Tejarcillos), I felt like one of those “forgotten ones.” And you guys gave me the opportunity of being someone in this world. Jahaira, who’s now a DayCare teacher at our school.
We Continue To Push Hard
Because of God’s faithfulness and the support of so many, we continue to push hard to:
- To build homes for families needing a decent place to lay their heads at night
- To fill the empty stomachs of hungry children
- To feed young minds with a quality Christian education
- To protect vulnerable kids who, without our help, will turn to drugs, alcohol and prostitution
- To help mothers with new job skills that will build a better future for themselves & their families
- To lead them to know and experience the love of Jesus Christ
A simple decent house, an education, new job skills, good health care and nutrition, spiritual counseling and nurture . . . all have a ripple effect that can help a whole family move towards a more stable future. Thank you for proving that, together with God’s power and love, we are a force who can make a difference!
